Das handgeformte Gefäß als archetypisches Objekt der Plastik.
Das im Jahr 2025 von den Künstler*innen Lisa Reitmeier und Benedikt Hipp gegründete kollaborative Label fertigt handgemachte Unikate, die über mehrere Tage in den eigenen Holzöfen gebrannt werden. Im Brennprozess entstehen Oberflächen von besonderer Tiefe sowie kosmisch schillernde, metallische Töne, die von der langen Einwirkung der Flammen und den hohen Temperaturen von über 1300 °C zeugen. Hier verschmelzen Material, Ort und Prozess zu einer untrennbaren Einheit.
Wir verstehen das handgeformte Gefäß als archetypisches Objekt der Plastik, in der das Leere auf das Greifbare trifft. Dabei drängen wir Material und Anwendung bis an ihre Grenzen; der Übergang zwischen funktional und dysfunktional ist fließend, während das Objekt immer durch einen künstlerischen und philosophischen Blick betrachtet wird.
Gefäße verkörpern durch Form und Verwendung die jeweilige Zeit und Gesellschaft, in der sie entstehen. Einige unserer Objekte stellen täglich gewohnte Handgriffe und Handlungen in Frage. Durch eigenwillige Formgebung, Unwucht, unterschiedliche Oberflächen und Strukturen entsteht eine neue Resonanzerfahrung in Habit, Motorik und Gebrauch. Berührung schafft Bewusstsein, lässt das Gefäß in der Hand wandern sowie entdecken und erzeugt dabei einen erfahrbaren Moment des Innehaltens im Alltag.

Founded in 2025 by artists Lisa Reitmeier and Benedikt Hipp, this collaborative label produces unique, handmade pieces fired over several days in their own wood-fired kilns. The firing process creates surfaces of exceptional depth and cosmically iridescent, metallic tones—testaments to the prolonged exposure to flames and temperatures exceeding 1300°C. Here, material, place, and process merge into an inseparable unity.
We view the hand-formed vessel as an archetypal object of sculpture, where the void meets the tangible. In our work, we push material and application to their absolute limits; the transition between the functional and the dysfunctional is fluid, while the object is always viewed through an artistic and philosophical lens.
Through their form and utility, vessels embody the specific era and society in which they are created. Some of our objects call into question everyday gestures and routines. Through idiosyncratic shaping, imbalance, and varied surfaces and textures, a new resonant experience emerges in habit, motor skills, and use. Touch creates awareness, allowing the vessel to move within the hand and be discovered, generating a tangible moment of pause in daily life.

Atelier 
Unser Atelier befindet sich mitten in einem kleinen Dorf in der Nähe des Ammersees, zwischen München und Bregenz. In unserem Naturgarten haben wir in den letzten Jahren zwei Hochtemperatur-Holzbrandöfen errichtet, die wir zwei- bis dreimal jährlich befeuern. Wir arbeiten nachhaltig und nutzen für den Brennprozess Schnittholzreste aus den örtlichen Sägewerken, während unser Elektroofen für Testzwecke mit Strom aus der eigenen PV-Anlage betrieben wird.

Intermix
Den Großteil unserer Tone bauen wir selbst regional ab. Wir arbeiten und experimentieren mit wilden Tonen und Schlickglasuren, Erden und Pflanzenaschen. Einige dieser Materialien bringen wir auch von unseren Reisen mit.

Studio
Our studio is located in the heart of a small village near Lake Ammersee, nestled between Munich and Bregenz. Over the past few years, we have built two high-temperature wood-fired kilns in our natural garden, which we fire two to three times a year. We are committed to sustainability: for the firing process, we use scrap wood from local sawmills, while our electric kiln for testing is powered by electricity from our own photovoltaic system.

Intermix
We dig and process the majority of our clays ourselves from the local region. We work and experiment with wild clays and slip glazes, as well as earths and plant ashes. Some of these materials are also gathered during our travels.

Holzbrand
Unser Holzbrand erstreckt sich über mehrere Tage und Nächte. Ist das Feuer einmal entzündet, muss es stetig gefüttert werden. Mit unseren Öfen erreichen wir Temperaturen von 1300 bis 1350 °C. Die Asche des verbrannten Holzes beginnt bei circa 1200 °C zu schmelzen und bildet dabei eine sogenannte Ascheanflugglasur. Im Zusammenspiel von Ton, Feuer und dem alkalischen, reduzierenden Umfeld der Brandführung entstehen somit einzigartige Oberflächen und Farbentwicklungen. Die lange Dauer des Brandprozesses lässt unterschiedliche Menschen zusammenkommen, die uns während der Tage und Nächte des Brandes begleiten und tatkräftig unterstützen.

Wood-firing
Our wood-firing process spans several days and nights. Once the fire is lit, it must be fed continuously. In our kilns, we reach temperatures of 1300 to 1350 °C. At approximately 1200 °C, the ash from the burnt wood begins to melt, creating what is known as a natural ash glaze. The interaction between clay, fire, and the alkaline, reducing atmosphere within the kiln results in unique surfaces and color developments. The long duration of the firing process brings together different people who accompany and actively support us throughout the days and nights of the burn.
