Bei Baggy hängen die Knie tief. Die wilde Porzellanerde aus Ostdeutschland ist außen mit Shino wie Zuckerguss überzogen. Schwarze Punkte wirken wie Sommersprossen, und ein Einschluss im Ton hat zu einer wunderbaren Schmelzträne geführt. / With Baggy, the knees hang low. The wild porcelain clay from East Germany is coated on the outside with Shino, like icing on a cake. Black spots look like freckles, and an inclusion in the clay has resulted in a wonderful melted teardrop.

Dragon-Gata wurde upside-down gebrannt. Die geschmolzene Asche sowie der schmelzende Ton der zur Flamme gerichteten Seite bilden dicke Tropfen aus, die wie kleine Krallen wirken./Dragon-Gata was fired upside down. The molten ash and the melting clay on the side facing the flame form thick droplets that look like small claws.

Wunderschön eingefangen ist dieser Moment der Auflösung. Das sonst innen wie außen hochglanzpolierte Gefäß zeigt hier seine verletzliche Seite. In der matten Oberfläche zeichnen sich die Spuren der Flammen ab, die mit der schmelzenden Asche ein Flussbett bildeten. Eine durchsichtige Glasur aus angeflogener Asche überzieht das ganze Objekt./This moment of dissolution is beautifully captured. The vessel, which is usually mirror-polished on the interior and exterior, shows its vulnerable side here. The matte surface bears the marks of the flames, which created a riverbed as the ash melted. A transparent fly-ash glaze covers the entire piece.

Morchel ist ein kleiner Handschmeichler. Shino und die transparent geschmolzene Asche bilden eine Oberfläche, die wie Flechten oder Pilze wirkt./ Morchel is a small 'palm stone.' Shino and the transparently melted ash create a surface that resembles lichens or mushrooms.

On the wild porcelain clay, the flames created a pattern in a variety of colors.
